Privacy Notice

What this website collects, who processes it, and what should never be sent through ordinary forms or chat.

1. What this notice covers

This notice describes, in plain terms, the information handled through the AEM Accounting Solutions website at taxaem.com and the third-party services involved. It applies to this website only. Information exchanged after an engagement begins is governed by the engagement agreement.

2. Do not send confidential information through this website

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, ITINs, EINs, banking or payment-card information, passwords, tax documents, or other confidential information through the website forms, the website assistant, or ordinary text messages and email.

If confidential information is needed, AEM will arrange a more appropriate method for sharing it after contact is established.

3. Analytics and cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand general traffic patterns, such as pages viewed and how visitors arrive. Analytics is loaded only after a visitor accepts the cookie banner. Declining the banner means analytics cookies are not set.

Google may process this data on its own terms as a service provider. Browser settings can also be used to block or delete cookies.

4. Quote and consultation requests

The quote request form on this website is a Google Form hosted and processed by Google. When a form is submitted, the responses are stored in Google's services and reviewed by AEM so we can follow up about the request.

Provide only the information needed to describe the assistance you are seeking.

5. Calls and text messages

Calling or texting the published number shares your phone number and message content with AEM through your carrier and our telephone provider. Standard carrier message and data rates may apply.

Call and text records are used to respond to inquiries and manage client communication.

6. The website assistant

The website assistant sends the text you type, along with recent messages in the same conversation, to a backend service operated for AEM at api.taxaem.com. That service forwards the request to Google's Gemini model to generate a general informational response.

The assistant is automated. It does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for speaking with AEM.

Messages are processed to produce a reply and to apply basic abuse and rate-limit protections. Short-term operational records such as request timestamps may exist on the backend server. AEM does not use assistant conversations to build client profiles, and asks that no confidential information be entered into it.

7. Third-party service providers

Information described above may be processed by:

  • Google — Analytics, Google Forms, and the Gemini model used by the assistant
  • Namecheap — hosting for the assistant backend at api.taxaem.com
  • The website hosting provider that serves taxaem.com
  • Telephone and messaging carriers used for calls and texts

8. Questions and deletion requests

To ask a privacy question, or to ask that information you submitted through this website be removed from AEM's records where it is reasonably possible to do so, call or text AEM at the number published on the contact page and describe the request.

AEM will respond and explain what can and cannot be done. Information held by third-party providers, or that AEM must retain for legitimate business or legal reasons, may not be removable.

9. Security and limits of this notice

No website, form, email, or text message can be considered completely secure, and AEM does not claim absolute security, guaranteed deletion, or any specific encryption or retention practice on this page.

This notice is provided for transparency. It is not a statement of compliance with any specific privacy law or framework.

This notice may be updated. The version posted here is the current one.
